Abraham, West Virginia

Abraham is an unincorporated rural community, or hamlet, in Richmond District in eastern Raleigh County. Formerly also a post office, Abraham is located off Interstate 64 (I-64) on Plumley Mountain. Though largely agricultural, the Abraham area is a preferred residential community and borders the New River Gorge National River. The hamlet is located in the upper vale of Sewell Branch, a minor tributary of the New River.
