The Berwind Lake Wildlife Management Area -- 18,000 acres -- consists of rugged forest terrain and offers hunting for deer, turkey, raccoon and squirrel. Berwind Lake, 20 acres, provides fishing for warmwater species and trout. The area has eight primitive campsites. Berwind Lake is located 12 miles south of Welch on WV Route 16 and Route 12/4.
