Beury Mountain

In central Fayette County, Beury Mountain rises to 2,594 feet along the eastern flank of the New River Gorge between Thurmond, WV, and Mann Mountain. The mountain takes its name for one of the early developers of the New River coalfields, Colonel Joseph Beury.
