A community in Randolph County, Beverly, WV was chartered in 1790 and named for Beverly Randolph, mother of Edmund Randolph, Governor of Virginia (1786-1788). Formerly known as Edmundton. (Randolph County was named in honor of Edmund Randolph.) Beverly is located on US 219 five miles south of Elkins, WV. Beverly's quaint architecture is preserved in the Beverly National Historic District.
