The Big Ugly Wildlife Management Area -- 6,421 acres -- includes steep terrain covered in mature upland hardwood forest and is managed primarily for deer, squirrel, turkey, grouse, and raccoon. The area features a 100-yard shooting range. Big Ugly is located 25 miles south of Hamlin off WV Route 7, or 15 miles northwest of Logan off WV Route 7 near the town of Leet.
