Oak Hill Junction was the junction point of the rail line of the White Oak Railway (running from Oak Hill) with the line of the Virginian Railway. The White Oak Railway's extension from Oak Hill to the connection with the Virginia Railway was constructed in about 1906. The White Oak Railway's line later became part of the Virginian Railway and was, under agreement, operated jointly with the Chesapeake & Ohio Railway (C&O).
