Bluestone State Park

Bluestone State Park (map (http://www.wvamaps.com/maps/index.php?place=Bluestone%20State%20Park&state=WV&lon=-80.9361&lat=37.6181&pop=0&county=Summers&elev=0&scale=3)), near Hinton, WV, in Summers County, protects more than 2,100 acres of mountainous forest at the mouth of the Bluestone River Gorge. The park is popular with campers and anglers who are touring adjacent Bluestone Lake. Boats and canoes may be rented at the marina. Campsites at the park's primitive camping area are accessible only by boat. The park protects the steep forest land that overlooks the junction of the New River and Bluestone River.

Recreation: hiking, biking, swimming pool, canoeing, lake boating, water skiing, lake and river fishing

Lodging: 26 cabins, 77 camp sites, 47 primitive campsites (boat access only)
