W.Va. Route 20 courses through Brooks, WV
Brooks (map) is an unincorporated community in central Summers County on the New River 4.5 miles north of Hinton, WV. The community may be best known as the location of Camp Brookside, Bass Lake Fishing Resort, and Brooks Falls, a riverwide falls on the New. Brooks is located along W.Va. Route 20, roughly midway between Hinton, in the south, and Sandstone, WV, on Interstate 64, in the north. The mainline of the Chesapeake & Ohio Railway also passes through Brooks. The Three Rivers Avian Center and the National Park Service's Gwinn Ridge Trail are located near Brooks.
