Camp Creek State Park
From West Virginia (WV) Cyclopedia
Camp Creek State Park, off Interstate 77 north of Princeton, WV, protects more than 500 wooded acres in Mercer County adjacent to 5,300-acre Camp Creek State Forest. The park was added to the state park (http://www.newriverwv.com/Parks_State.php) system in 1996 after it was removed from state-forest designation. Hunting is now prohibited in the state park. As hunting and fishing are permitted in the adjacent state forest, the park is extremely popular with hunters and anglers, though hunting is prohibited within the park. Camp Creek has also added a campground for horseback riders, which includes two-, four-, and six-horse sites with stalls. More than 35 miles of trail are available for horseback riding.
