Capon Bridge, West Virginia

A community in Hampshire County, Capon Bridge, WV was incorporated in 1902, so named because of the construction of the bridge over Cacapon River at that place. The name of the river was derived from the Shawnee Indian name, Cape-cape-pe-hon, meaning "river of medicine water."
