Centennial Park

Location: Tucker County on Backbone Mountain

Centennial Park was the hundredth roadside park established by the W.Va. Division of Transportation. The park was opened with fanfare on June 20, 1963 -- West Virginia's 100th birthday. It is located along U.S. Route 219, five miles west of Thomas, WV, and features a spectacular view to the northwest.
