Chester, WV, (Map), is a community on the Ohio River in Hancock County in the northern panhandle of West Virginia. It is the northernmost city in West Virginia. Though West Virginia is often considered a southern U.S. state, Chester is located only 100 miles south of Lake Erie on the border with Canada. Chester is located across the Ohio River from East Liverpool, OH.

The Chester Teapot, held to be the world's largest teapot, is located in Chester, though its primary tourist draw in the nearby Mountaineer Casino Resort & Race Track.
