Clay's Rocks

Clay's Rocks cap the summit of a ridge in southwestern Summers County near Pipestem Resort State Park. The rocks take their name from the Clay family, among the early settlers of the Clover Bottom section of Mercer County. Local legend claims that the son of Mitchell Clay was left behind at the rocks after the family had encamped there.
