Cross Mountain

Cross Mountain, in western Greenbrier County, is the most southwestern of the Allegheny Mountains of the eastern U.S., which run northeast to southwest through Maryland, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. The mountain is visible as a high swell northeast of Dawson and Sam Black Church, WV, on I-64 northeast of the Big Levels region of western Greenbrier County. Outliers of the Alleghenies extend furher southwest as Keeney Mountain and Flat Top Mountain.
