Dowdy Creek Rapids

The Class II rapid on the upper New River Gorge whitewater rafting segment is located approximately a half mile downstream of White House Rapids and a half mile upstream the mouth of Dowdy Creek, on river-right. These rapids are most likely the result of the colluvial deposition of rocks from the flank of the gorge.
