Nuttallburg Suspension Bridge

This Class IV rapid on the Lower New River Gorge whitewater rafting segment is formed from rock debris which has crept slowly down the canyon walls and washed into the New River. The rapids are located just downstream of the site of the ghost town of Nuttallburg, on river-right, and just upstream of that of Kaymoor, on river-left. Cut-stone bridge piers on the banks above the river are remnants of a suspension bridge which once linked Nuttallburg with South Nuttall.
