East River Mountain

East River Mountain forms the southern border of Virginia and Mercer County, near Princeton, West Virginia, west of the New River. Geologically, the mountain is the western extension of Peters Mountain, from which it is sundered at The Narrows of the river. Peters and East River are part of the Appalachian Ridge and Valley Province.
