Gap Mountain

Gap Mountain, in Monroe County, south of Union, West Virginia, takes its name from a gap midway along its length. W.Va. Route 3 passes through the gap between Union and Sweet Springs. Along the Potomac River near Petersburg, West Virginia, in Grant County, stands another Gap Mountain.
