Hamlin, West Virginia

The county seat of Lincoln County, the date of original charter of Hamlin, WV is unknown, but thought to be about 1867, the only available records being destroyed by fire when the court house burned in 1909. Hamlin was named for Leonides Lent Hamline, prominent Methodist bishop.
