Hawks Nest Aerial Tramway

The aerial tramway at Hawks Nest State Park is one of two aerial passenger tramways, or cable-car systems, that operate in West Virginia. Both are located in state parks among the gorges of southern West Virginia.

The Hawks Nest aerial tram carries park visitors from the rim of the New River Gorge to the bank of the New River at Hawks Nest Lake, a descent of more than 800 feet.
