Haystack Mountain

Haystack Mountain, in southern Fayette County, rises to 2,518 feet above sea level along the divide between the waters of Dunloup Creek, a tributary of New River, and Paint Creek, a tributary of Kanawha River. Plum Orchard Lake forms on the southern face of the mountain. Haystack is located some five miles southwest of Oak Hill, WV, and five miles northwest of Glen Jean, WV.
