Kenova, West Virginia

A community in Wayne County on the confluence of the Ohio River at the Big Sandy River, at West Virginia's common corner with Ohio, Kentucky. The city takes its name from the compounded abbreviations of KENtucky, Ohio, and West Virginia (VA). Located two miles west of Huntington, WV. Founded in 1869, but not incorporated until 1894.
