Coal mines in the Lillybrook area moved coal to market via the Stone Coal Sub-Division, a branch line railroad jointly operated by the Chesapeake & Ohio Railway and the Virginian Railway.

1920: Lillybrook Coal Company, Nos. 1 & 2; 236,500 tons produced

1925: Lillybrook C. Co.: Lillybrook No. 1, 316,787 tons; Lillybrook No. 2, 189,328 tons; Lillybrook No. 3, 113,230 tons; Lillybrook No. 4, 75,712 tons
