The Little Bluestone River, a tributary of the Bluestone River, drains 34 square miles in Summers County in southern West Virginia west of Hinton, WV. The stream rises along the southern face of Flat Top Mountain 2.5 miles northeast the common corner of Mercer, Summers and Raleigh counties, near Ghent, WV. It meanders 10 miles to its mouth on the Bluestone River at Lilly. Over the first 3.5 miles of its length the Little Bluestone falls rapidly eastward out of the mountain forest, dropping more than 1,110 feet or 300 feet to the mile.


Tributaries of the Little Bluestone include Suck Creek, Jumping Branch, and Spicelick Creek.
