Lower Kaymoor Rapids
Also known as "Lower Tipple Rapids," this Class III rapids on the Lower New River Gorge whitewater rafting segment is formed largely from debris fallen from the walls of the gorge. The rapids takes their name from the Kaymoor Tipple, on river-left -- one of the last remaining structures in the ghost town of Kaymoor. Lower Kaymoor Rapids is located approximately a quarter mile downstream of Upper Kaymoor Rapids and approximately three quarters of a mile upstream of Miller's Folly Rapids.
