Lower Keeneys Rapids

This Class V rapid in the Lower New River Gorge whitewater rafting segment is the result of a ledge of bedrock which nears the surface of the New River. Lower Keeneys is the third and final cataract in the Keeneys Rapids group and is located just more than a tenth of a mile downstream of Middle Keeneys Rapids. The ruins of the ghost town of Keeneys Creek are located around the mouth of Keeney's Creek on river-right.
