Parons, WV is a community in Tucker County.
John Crouch, pioneer settler, established tomahawk rights (http://www.wvexp.com/index.php/Tomahawk_Rights) here in 1766, but the town was not incorporated until 1893. Parons was named for Ward Parsons, an early pioneer settler who owned the land on which the town was built. At Parson, WV, the Shavers Fork and Blackwater unite to form Cheat River. Hu Maxwell, the historian, lived near the community.
