Peterstown, West Virginia

A community in western Monroe County, incorporated in 1892, Peterstown was named for Christian Peters, a Revolutionary War soldier who settled nearby and founded the town shortly after the Revolutionary War.

Peterstown is located at the junction of U.S. 219 and WV Route 12, just northwest of the juction of U.S. 219 and the U.S. 460 expressway.
