Pinnacle Rock State Park (map (http://www.wvamaps.com/maps/index.php?place=Pinnacle%20Rock%20State%20Park&state=WV&lon=-81.2925&lat=37.3119&pop=0&county=Mercer&elev=0&scale=3)), in Mercer County northwest of Bramwell, WV, northwest of Bluefield, WV, preserves 426 acres of steep woodland which includes its namesake sandstone formation. Among West Virginia's smallest state parks, Pinnacle Rock, perched high above the valley of the Bluestone River, was a popular attraction long before it became a state park.
