Rocky Rapids

This Class II rapid on the upper New River Gorge downstream of Meadow Creek is likely the result of colluvial deposition from the river's banks compounded with alluvial deposition washed down from the mouth of Meadow Creek, on river-right. The rapids is located on a remote stretch of river downstream of Sandstone Falls.
