Star City, West Virginia

A community in Monongalia County, Star City, WV, near Morgantown, WV, on the Monongahela River was incorporated in 1907. Named by Louis F. Kaufield, owner of the Star Glass Company, after the company name. The town was largely settled by glass workers employed at the Star Glass Company and at the Seneca Glass Company Factory B.
