Swell Mountain is a summit northwest of Hinton, WV, overlooking the upper New River Gorge. The common border of Raleigh County and Summers County crosses the mountain. Swell is sometimes confused with nearby Sewell Mountain, in Fayette County, and is also sometimes mapped as a peak on White Oak Mountain.
