From West Virginia (WV) Cyclopedia
Theatre West Virginia has been producing wonderful outdoor dramas, such as "Honey in the Rock" and "Hatfields & McCoys" at the Cliffside Amphitheatre at Grandview for more than 30 years. Both outdoor dramas retell part of West Virginia History in colorful detail. "Honey in the Rock" relives the tale of the formation of West Virginia during the Civil War. "Hatfields & McCoys" recounts its most infamous family feud.
Both musical dramas are performed in repertoire under the evening sky at Grandview during June, July and August. Famous performers, such as Chris Sarandon and David Schramm, launched their careers through Theatre West Virginia.
