Tomlinson Run State Park

Tomlinson Run State Park (map (http://www.wvamaps.com/maps/index.php?place=Tomlinson%20Run%20State%20Park&state=WV&lon=-80.5925&lat=40.5469&pop=0&county=Hancock&elev=0&scale=3)), in Hancock County, north of Weirton, WV, protects 1,398 acres of low, wooded hills along Tomlinson Run in West Virginia's Northern Panhandle. Its several hiking trails, counted among the best in the region, lead through a mature forest of oak and beech past waterfalls and towering cliffs. Glades of fern and groves of rhododendron are among the park's natural highlights. Tomlinson Lake and several small fishing ponds are popular with anglers. Tomlinson is located less than a mile from the Mountaineer Casino Resort & Race Track, and many casino guests visit in all seasons.
