Upland, (Map (http://www.wvamaps.com/maps/index.php?place=Upland&state=WV&lon=-82.0731&lat=38.5686&pop=0&elev=730&county=Mason)), is a rural community, or hamlet, in southern Mason County. The community takes its name from its situation on a tableland divide between the Ohio Valley and Kanawha Valley. Upland is located along Mason County Route 41.
