A community in Wood County, located along the Ohio River, Vienna, WV (map (http://www.wvamaps.com/index.php/?place=Vienna&state=wv&lat=39.3269&lon=-81.5486&elev=653&pop=10861)) was originally laid out in 1794 by Dr. Joseph Spencer, but not incorporated until May 13, 1935 by Circuit Court. The town was named for Vienna, Fairfax County, Virginia.
