This series of four Class II/III rapids in the Lower New River whitewater rafting segment, each about an eighth of a mile apart, are also known as "Stripper Hole," "Ender Waves," "McCabes," and "Corkscrew" rapids. All were created by rock debris sliding gradually from the canyon walls. The ruins of the town of Elverton are located on river-left at the rapids.

Now absorbed by the riparian forest (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Riparian_zone), Elverton, mapped at right, once overlooked the Warm-Up Rapids.
